In the Western Christianities, Christmas tends to be the biggest and greatest "religious" holiday. Even the most secular of us might visit a church service, read the snippet from Luke, among all the commercial busyness.

I find this a problem. Christmas, the remembrance of the birth of the Redeemer, should not, must not overshadow the work of Redemption at the Calvary. The core message of Christianity is the Easter Sacrifice.

Julie's selection for appetizer from Dame Agatha's collection is a wonder among Christmas stories that it doesn't center on the harmless little baby, but portrays the fullness of the Cross, and how each human must in their own heart make their own decisions of morality.
