Just finished Rainwater by Sandra Brown...still trying to decide what I think about it!

Finished Safe Haven by Nicholas Sparks...kind of disappointed, didn't love it. A bit predictable. Also finished The Housekeeper and the Professor-loved it!!! Really different, but it really touched me.

The Housekeeper and the Professor - one of my favourite books. I really loved it.

Friday, finished Strangers at the Feast by Jennifer Vanderbes. I didn't think I would like it, but I enjoyed it.

The Reversal by Michael Connelly...not my favorite Connelly book, but OK.

11. Just finished Late, Late at Night by Rick Springfield... I got bogged done with this book, he does go on and on, especially about sex. But, I enjoyed it, and it ended well.

12. Roast Mortem by Cleo Coyle...I really enjoyed this one! A great cozy series:)

13. Finished Hush by Kate White last night, pretty good.

14. Unlucky in Law by Perri O'Shaughnessy, really enjoyed this one. I haven't read this series before, will read more!

15. The Paris Wife by Paula McLain...very interesting & got me interested in Ernest Hemingway's life.

16. Secrets to the Grave by Tami Hoag...also good, but a bit much at times. One character gets attacked by crazed killers so many times, it almost became comical.

17. I finished reading Friendship Bread by Darien Gee...an Early Reviewer book. I really liked it, sweet story about friendship.

18. Cross Fire by James Patterson...really enjoyed, one of his better ones!!!

19. Ohhh, I finished Love You More by Lisa Gardner last night...such an awesome book. You will want to finish it, you will not be able to stop reading it!

20. Shelter Me by Juliette Fay...good, but not great.

21. Pictures of You by Caroline Leavitt. I listened to this in my car & really enjoyed it.

22. Mystery by Jonathan Kellerman, I usually love his books, but this wan't oneof my favorites. It was the first book I read on my new Kindle, so that was cool:)

23. A Cure for Night by Justin Peacock...I need to get busy, I am WAYYY behind schedule!!!!

24. The Snow Globe by Sheila Roberts....sweet story:)

25. Finished it last night...The Kingdom of Childhood by Rebecca Coleman.

28. I read The Girl's Guide to Homelessness by Brianna Karp...eye opening, for sure. I learned a lot, but I also have some questions.

37. I just finished Muscle Memory by William G. Tapply...I like his books, this series, Brady Coyne.

40. I just finished The Gargoyle by Andrew Davidson and all I can say is...WOW! Now that is a novel...very interesting.

41. Another awesome book...State of Wonder by Ann Patchett! So intetresting & different from what I normally read.

42. I read These Things Hidden by Heather Gudenkauf, didn't like it & I don't understand the high rating it received on LT. O'well, who knows???

I keep on hearing about The Gargoyle.... And I just bought State of Wonder! Looking forward to it.

They are both very interesting, I think you will enjoy them!

44. The Imposter's Daughter by Laurie Sandell, very different...a graphic novel, fun!

45. The Borrower by Rebecca Makkai...really different, I liked it.

49. I'm almost halfway there!!! Love in Bloom by Sheila Roberts, sweet story, love her books!

50. Buried Prey by John Sandford!!! I am half way there, but I don't think I'm gonna make it in time! I only have 3 months left:(

It's not about the destination (100 books), it's about the journey (reading). :)

Thanks for the sweet note, wookiebender! It is indeed all about the destination!!! I've never tried a book challenge before, so I didn't really know how many books I actually read in a year! Now I know 50 is more my speed, rather than 100...which is fine:)

54. I just got done with Knit the Season by Kate Jacobs, I enjoyed catching up with everybody from the first two books!

56. I just finished The Winters in Bloom by Lisa Tucker and I wished I would have skipped it. Not my cup of tea:(((

Yes, it's horrible that you can't "unread" books at times...

It was, thank goodness! I just finished The Language of Flowers by Vanessa Diffenbaugh and it was AWESOME!!!

I always read the first 50 pages, but feel guilty for not finishing a book even thought I'm not "feeling it". I must trust my instinct more often...I would have less "unread" books then!

I sure didn't make it to 100 this year! I think I will aim for 75 next year...
