Good grief. You're all children! Let me sit in my rocking chair and reminisce...

?- Blondie "Call Me"
?- Police "Every Breath You Take"
?- Dionne and Friends "That's What Friends are For"

You want years? Go look 'em up, you whippersnappers!

1996 - Los Del Rio "Macarena"
1999 - Cher "Believe"
2002 - Nickelback "How You Remind Me"

I hated the Macarena. Everyone seemed to know it except me and my science teacher always wanted us to dance to it. I was super shy so I'd get really embarrassed.

I refuse to answer on the grounds that it may destroy my illusions about myself being young!

I'm not sure if they kept records of such things back in the Stone Age.

1991 - Bryan Adams "(Everything I Do) I Do it for You"
1994 - Ace of Base "The Sign"
1997 - Elton John "Candle in the Wind 1997"

(I'm assuming we're doing the spring semester year, if it's the fall semester then see PollyAnna's for my answers!)

1964 - The Beatles - I want to Hold Your Hand
1967 - Lulu - To Sir, With Love
1970 - Simon and Garfunkle - Bridge Over Troubled Waters

Only the first one was actually representative of the majority of the music of its times.

2000 - Faith Hill - Breathe
2003 - 50 Cent - In Da Club
2006 - Daniel Powter - Bad Day

I don't even remember the last one... apparently it didn't even crack the Top 10 here.

1992 - Boyz II Men - End Of The Road
1995 - Coolio - Gansta's Paradise
1998 - Next - Too Close

(That's the spring of each year -- the fall would be the same answers as Bib posted above. And, MEM, I don't remember the 1998 hit, either!)

1971 Three Dog Night- Joy to the World
1974 Barbra Streisand- The Way We Were
1977 Rod Stewart- Tonight's the Night ( Gonna Be Alright )

I love all of these songs from the 60s & 70s. The songs I grew up listening to all the time on the radio. I even have them on CD's, Cassette Tapes, & of course LP's too.
