A bit late too start but I suppose I can still manage to have 75 books read before end of the year ;)

I don't have special theme on my mind but books I already have go first. I've got way too many books I still haven't read.

4. George R.R. Martin Fevre Dream
5. Bennewicz Maciej, Coaching Tao
6. Allen David, Gotowi na wszystko

Thank you! I'm still at the beginning and have a bit of mixed feelings about this book. I like it but something is ... off.

I had mixed feelings about The Alienist; I thought Carr's index cards kept showing, but I did read it to the end, and I have a friend who really enjoyed it - and another who didn't finish it.

Oh, and let us know what you think of the Mieville! That's on my library list, too.

Ok, The Alienist was ... difficult but Mieville is more .. hm..disturbing. I liked The Alienist only from the part when they actually had assembled the team. Later Carr was just plain cruel to his poor characters. And the beginning totally unconvincing. My cousing lent me this book, I probably wouldn't buy it myself.

As for Mieville. Huh. Tough one. I mean it is something very very subtle what he does with your brain. I mean, book is amazing all the time while I', reading it but when I stop and think about what I just read it's hard to believe it makes so much sense.
I know it sounds crazy but ugh my brain!
Excellent book nevertheless.

Starting George R.R. Martin Fevre Dream. It first book I'll read by this author but since my friend adores him I just HAVE to read anything or he'll probably kill me :P
Upcoming tv version of "Game of thrones" is also a good reason.

I did The One Minute Manager before even starting Martin. Good book. I still prefer Allen even if this one touches on a bit different subject. Nice book still.
