hello from a total newb!

hi my name is leah. i recently moved to hawaii and even more recently became a member of librarything. can someone tell me what are some great bookstores on the big island?

Beginning about ten years ago, Borders in Kona and Hilo drove many of the great bookstores out of business. Now, Borders is leaving the island. The Hilo store closed last summer. The Kailua-Kona store clearance sale begins tomorrow.

Librarything Local lists many of the existing bookstores. There is a used bookstore in Hilo that I will add to it soon.

thanks! i didnt know librarything had a listing of bookstores. i love it here in hawaii, but i think the library should be open more hours lol.
