>10 Samantha_kathy: Thanks for the review! I have not read almost any of Kerstin Ekman's early works (which tend to be mostly mysteries) but enjoy some of her more current books. I've not read Under the snow.
I'm wondering if you are aware that it was originally published in 1961 in Swedish? If so, I don't understand what you mean by this comment:
"I had two minor quibbles with the book. The first one is the fact that apparently it’s set in the late 1950s, early 1960s – which I only know because of a note by the translator, although it explained one or two minor details. If you set it in a different time period, I think it should be obvious. Otherwise, you might as well place it in the current time."

I see you revived your EEC as well. I hope to finalize it this year, but there are so many other challenges I'm participating in... it will be difficult.

Great review of The Burnt-Out Town of Miracles as well!

-->20 Samantha_kathy:
That may be the first literary list ever to include Mikhail Bulgakov and Andy McNab. It looks like it will be fun!
