Last Sunday my wife & I discovered BACK CREEK BOOKS (near Rams Head)...specializing in Maryland, Lincoln, military & nautical. Prices appeared well in range with current internet rates (IMO). Shop just starting out so all the inventory had been stocked at that time. Books look in good shape with decent pricing. Recommended.
(Why can't Annapolis keep a used book store alive?)

The problem is probably that the shop is IN Annapolis, where there is a shortage of parking which reduces the volume of customers available to buy. Also, the profit margins on used books may not be enough to cover the building rental, and support the owner as well. It might be possible if the owner does not expect to support himself solely with the shop.
