Apparently it's not for sale (yet?) and is being shown at various design shows. I would seriously turf out one very ugly old bookshelf and get one instantly if I could.

Looks lovely, but I guess you can't really put it back to a wall, as those cat steps look like they may somewhat impede shelving or removing the books from some of the cases ?

#4 - I looked for that and you should still be able to get them out.

#3 - I have just the wall for it! Sadly, right now I am catless. :o/

Jarandel - yeah, the back of it has no sticky-out bits. The cat steps are all on the front. And the slots are different sizes for different things.

#7 - I'm still in mourning for Bart.

I did go to the shelter, but they were all adults. With these two wild Boxers in the house I'm going to need to get a kitten. The plan now is to wait a bit until Sam the pup has a little more self-control. She still jumps on guests, etc.

D'awwww

Well, it's kitten season over there in a few months yus? Soon a kitteh will be ruling you, and the dogs. I'm sure Bart would approve (at the dog control).

Yes, it's probably already started, but I'll most likely be waiting until next year. Sam has a long way to go. (I went looking for kitties before we got the pup.)

I have been feeling the lack of a kitty, too. I was a cat person for most of my adult life as I was away from home too long for dogs. Now, with three dogs, and the attendant vet bills, and other responsibilities I don't think a cat is in the near future. But some day.... yes, I will have another kitty cat! Love the book shelves! Want them.

Heh...one of my kittehs (the ex-feral) jumps on my desk, then onto the top of the curtain rail..runs along it and leaps onto one of our bookshelves. Great place to be above the other two cats, and as high as she can get in our small-ceilinged shack.

#13 - When my son's kitty comes to visit us, he makes a beeline for the top of my bookshelves, knocking over all the fragile items I have carefully placed there "out of reach."

Snerk. Yes...that bookshelf is now void of ornament. Designated cat space only.

hmmm. I've spent most of Gracie's life discouraging her from getting on the furniture. She's allowed on the sofa, chair, ottoman, and bed. Tables, kitchen counters, entertainment center, and bookshelves are off limits. She does like to sleep on top of Jim's dresser though, and he lets her. Mostly because that is where he places the extra decorative bed pillows before sleeping. So I'm thinking one of those bookshelves are not in our future.
