We moved across the country almost two years ago and I've been meaning to make more of an effort to read books set in and around our new home (Charleston) so I thought it would be fun to see where my reading has taken me.

I'm currently reading The Sweetgum Knit Lit Society which is set in Tennessee. I have noted the US based books that I have read this year (except for the Percy Jackson books but they are traveling about so I thought I would stick to books that take place mostly in one state)

Welcome to the challenge! I love Charleston! One of my favorite cozy mystery series is set in Charleston -- the tea shop series by Laura Childs. Of course, Pat Conroy's books are often set in that area. Dorothea Benton Frank's novels are set in Charleston and surrounding areas as well. I'm looking forward to attending a conference in Charleston next month!

Definitely welcome!
I found it fun to have a map and fill it in kind of like a ticker.... you can get it at this website if you want.

Thank you both for the welcome!
I read one of the Tea Shop mysteries several years ago but I cannot remember which one. I'll probably start over at the beginning. The Lords of Discipline is on my list as is Dorothea Benton Frank. I read Sullivan's Island years ago and enjoyed it and I have been toying with the idea of reading Shem Creek as a couple of our favorite restaurants are on or near there.
I saw that many people had a map they were filling in...thank you for the link. I will sort out how to add it one of these days soon when I am better able to concentrate.
