Forgive me, I am not a member of this group but found you via another user's profile and was fascinated. I joined LT after I had heard about it on the radio, Radio 4 to be precise. I think it is brilliant and tell many of my friends and colleagues all about it! Does anyone monitor the impact of publicity eg blogs , broadcasts etc. Maybe there ought to be a 'how did you hear about us' type of question when new users sign up....
Has anyone thought of how schools could make use of LT .... lots of possibilities and a big audience too!
I guess I am a member of this group now so I had better sign up to it!

I think we all notice when LT is mentioned in something like the NYT or on slashdot. We all run slowly for a day .
I guess that Tim has a better handle on how many sign up in the days immediately following a newspaper article or mention on some major website. Although he probably doesn't know how many join a week or two after reading or hearing something.
I think a few schools have their library on LT - however there is a slight problem for a lot of schools in that children under 13 are not allowed to use LT due to the US COPPA act.
