I haven't been terribly active over here...but I'm going to try to be better in July! I have a huge stack of "Orange" books and I've whittled them down to this stack (asterisks indicate books that have high priority in July):
The Memory of Love by Aminatta Forna (2011 Short List)
Annabel by Kathleen Winter (2011 Short List)
The Wilderness by Samantha Harvey (2009 Short List)
*Jamrach’s Menagerie by Carol Birch (2011 Long List)
*The Long Song by Andrea Levy (2010 Long List)
*The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives by Lola Shoneyin (2011 Long List)
*The Tiger’s Wife by Tea Obreht (2011 Winner)
The Personal History of Rachel Dupree by Ann Weisgarber (2009 Long List AND 2009 Winner of Orange Award for New Writers)
The Lacuna by Barbara Kingsolver (2010 Winner)
*Swamplandia by Karen Russell (2011 Long List)
The Monsters of Templeton, by Lauren Groff (2008 Short List for New Writers Award)
The Invisible Bridge by Julie Orringer (2011 Long List)
This Is How by M. J. Hyland (2010 Long List)
Scottsboro by Ellen Feldman (2009 Short List)
Obviously, I won't read all of these in July - but I like looking at them :)

Whoa, Wendy;
That is quite a list and we share a few. Have you decided which one you will begin with? Inquiring minds and all that, you know.

Thanks, Jill :)
>3 rainpebble: Rainpebble: Well, I think I have to read The Tiger's Wife first because I have been dying to read it! Then I think I'll dive into Jamrach's Menagerie and The Long Song. After that, I'll just have to see what strikes my fancy!! Thanks for asking!

Just stopping in, Wendy. I may eventually join you in *Tiger's W* but I really hope that you read The Memory of Love - maybe instead of *Jamrach*. If you don't ----- remember that I TOLD YOU SO!!!!!

LOL - thanks, Lizzie :) I actually am going to read Jamrach because I got it as a review book and this gives me a good reason to read it (and I bought The Memory of Love, so I don't feel the same "rush" to get to it...if that makes sense!)...but don't worry, I plan on reading The Memory of Love before the year is out...so we can still talk about it.
I'm very close to finished The Tiger's Wife and I really love this book. I love the imagery, the stories within the story, the magical quality of the writing. I can see why it won the Orange Prize.
