Have you read the article about the Walmart heiress, Alice Walton? She's building an art museum in the Ozarks (in Arkansas, for those who are geographically challenged). I LOVE this woman, mostly because she's so real ("her face shows no signs of having been submitted to the surgeon's knife"). The art museum she's building is in Benntonville, Arkansas. I haven't read the entire article, but I am so stoked by what she's doing, since it's very possible DH and I will be buying some land in Missouri, not all that far from Bentonville. I'm sure people in NYC hate her for the same reason.

Nope, this person in NYC won't hate her at all. I don't recall if I read this article or some other one about her efforts. But art shouldn't be locked up in Manhattan, or San Francisco, or Chicago, or Forth Worth. Spread it around a bit and let the people see it. Give us New Yorkers a little more credit than that!

Besides, it's a reason for me to travel to Arkansas one of these days.

I loved the article and am thrilled with what Alice W. is doing.
