The Newbery Award came into existance in 1922. It is awarded to the most distinguished American Children's Book of the previous year. Read an award book of lesser known years or re-read a favorite ! Please share with us your Newberry / Newbery Honor Award book with us.

I see that I continue to make the same Freudian slip Newbery/Newberry. I had a teacher whose last name was Newberry and I always spelled her name wrong!
