>1 Sand_Man: The Franklin Library published four different editions of Gone with the Wind:

1976--The Pulitzer Prize Fiction Series: maroon leather with red moire endleaves, illustrated by Robert Reid;

1978--The World's Best Loved Stories: green leather, moire endleaves, illustrated by Ken Dallison;

1981--The Greatest Books of the 20th Century: brown leather with black and tan illustrations, moire endleaves;

1986--Patron's Edition with slipcase: green leather with picture pastedown on cover, marbled endleaves, illustrated by Edward Martinez.

Unless you have a specific preference for the 1978 edition, you have other options. I own the 1976 edition and am very pleased with it; it is a luxurious volume. I also have some books from the other two series, and they of equal quality.
