Another good source is your library, if they subscribe to Overdrive. If not, there are some libraries that will let out of area people join for a small annual fee. I can't recommend Netlibrary right now because they are in transition and their website is awful, but hopefully soon...

Also, there's LibriVox. Quite a few LT users have cataloged books form them.
