Wonderlake's A-z

DH bought me a Moleskine passions book journal. This has A-z tabbed pages, so for me it makes sense to use this to record books by title A-z (rather than A-z of author's names).

A= The ABC Murders, Agatha Christie @ June 2011
This was amusing as A was for Andover, which was a sister site I visited for work last year, and D= Doncaster which is where we are currently residing.

B= Billy Bathgate, EL Doctorow
I started this in June, but didn't finish. I held a copy of it as it is a 1001 book to read before-you-die. Billy Bathgate would have fitted in quite nicely into the ABC Murders :>

C= Cabal, Michael Dibdin
Just started this on my Kindle. Watched one of the TV adaptations (BBC) but this was of Vendetta. We went to Venice on honeymoon

G= Girl with green eyes, Edna o'brien

J= Jar City, Arnaldur Indridason

K= Killing the Shadows, Val McDermid
I started to read this in June/July (2011) but we moved house @10th July and this paperback accidentally got put into storage...

L= Looking Good Dead, Peter James
The second Roy Grace novel, I read the first one Dead Simple as part of another challenge, enjoyed it so went on to obtain the second... not sure if I'll bother with the third Not Dead Enough... unlikeable characters- cringey sex scene. I also found it a bit odd that the action was set a week after the events in Dead Simple? Very overly descriptive; the detective parks on a street and the author sees fit to list every single shop along the street ??

N= Nemesis, Jo Nesbo

O= 1222, Anne Holt
Ha, the journal doesn't have a tab for numbers/ misc. although there are 6 larger blank tabs at the back...
Anyway, I downloaded this as it was £1 and I'm quite partial to a bit of crime, and "Scandi" crime in particular I guess. Not impressed.

Hm, for some reason I must have got confused and read this ... maybe because of A for Atkinson meaning this was at the top of my Kindle library ...
Interesting, enjoyable. Not like me to read a series book out of order!

T= The Treatment, Mo Hayder @June 2011
Recently I read Ritual by her and wanted to read more... but then I discovered this was a re-read! Although I did complete the re-read at times I did wonder, as the plot is VERY grim. Possibly I'm more sensitive now I'm a parent?

I read The Robber Bride in April, geez it took me forever, but I generally like M Atwood. Will look forward to getting round to this one, but it'll have been put in storage.

One DH got me for my birthday, but will be in storage now. Read & enjoyed What I Loved by her in 2009

This was my favourite film for a time, however I did read -plough through- Middlesex and seem to remember really disliking the ending...

Bought this on my Kindle as it was only 0.99p, and it's a 1001 to-read-before-you-die book.
A quick read, it reminded me of The Reluctant Fundamentalist- the way the novel is a monologue delivered to a 3rd party explaining events?
Coincided with a TV show "India on four wheels" (BBC2) which I only half-watched, but am quite sure it doesn't delve into 'The Darkness' quite as much as the book...
Ah! White Tiger also reminded me of The Killer Inside Me
