Welcome from me too! I only recently joined this group( and LT come to that), and I've been made to feel very welcome, so I'm paying it back! Unlike you however, I haven't been keeping such good records on what I've been reading this year, so I'm aiming for the more modest total of 35 before the end of this year, and then joining in in earnest next year.
I'm also a Sci-Fi fan, so I'll chart your future reads with interest. Any favourites from those you've read so far?

Thanks for the welcomes!

I received a Kindle for Christmas, so its helped me to keep track of my books - between that and LT, it wasn't too hard to figure it out. I wish my public library would keep a database of what I've checked out - but I've just resolved to keep better track on LT.

#4 HanGerg - I haven't read much scifi this year! But my all time favorites would have to be just about anything by Isaac Asimov and the Ender series by Orson Scott Card. Douglas Adams is always good for a light read. I enjoyed A Canticle for Leibowitz by Walter M Miller, which has a sequel that I did not care for.

Other authors that I've enjoyed are Alan Dean Foster, Larry Niven, Robert Heinlein, Arthur C. Clarke, Frank Herbert - most of the classics. I need to broaden my horizons and find some other scifi authors that I enjoy.

One of my favorite books growing up was A Wrinkle In Time by Madeleine L'Engle - if you haven't read it and don't mind reading a children's book - its a good one.

I forgot to mention - if you like a little fantasy with your scifi - Jasper Fforde's Thursday Next series and Roger Zelazny's Amber series are both really good - but its best to read both of them in order or they won't make a lot of sense.

The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins was one of the best things that I have read in quite some time. While it is a young adult novel, it is just as interesting for adults as well.
