Why doesn't this ever get on any of those 80s comp cds, along with "Enola Gay" and "Favourite Shirts"?

I got a smile out of thinking of "Enola Gay' as a cheerful morning tune. Not disagreeing, I've always had a soft spot for poppy music with an ironic lyric.

Can't follow the link here at work, will try later.

Re Enola Gay - I have no idea: I used to pop a cassette in the moment it came on my favorite station.

Speaking of poppy music - this one touches my soft spot:

This one still touches me (it's a "bad touch", I think...).

Ah, now I see the comparison: Dicks and OMD. Before it was just the link so I couldn't tell what your comparison group was! Looking forward to viewing the videos at home (well, except perhaps the Tiny Tim: I can only take his peculiar vocalizations in Tiny Doses).
