I presume there are some SCA heralds here (since there are some libraries cataloged that are quite rich in heraldry books), and so I thought I would let you know that we are hosting an Heraldic and Scribal Symposium at a hotel near LAX on the weekend of June 14 - 17, 2007. One of the items on display will be a (probably 17th c.) copy of a 16th c. grant of arms. The scrivener used a larger piece of vellum than he might otherwise need, because he even drew the seal as if it were dangling from the grant.
