Crap! Have I really not posted anything? I suppose better late than never.
1. The Clicking of Cuthbert by P. G. Wodehouse
2. The Man With Two Left Feet and Other Stories by P. G. Wodehouse
I'm taking a lit class this semester and thought I'd start my year off by reading stuff I actually liked since I wasn't sure that I'd be able to do much of that in between the requirements.
3. The Touchstone by Edith Wharton
The ending is a little too Henry James-ish for my taste, but it's an otherwise superb novella.
4. The Country of Pointed Firs by Sarah Orne Jewett
My first required reading. It wasn't bad but it didn't leave much of an impression.
5. The Crucible by Arthur Miller
6. Suddenly Last Summer by Tennessee Williams
We'll be reading these later in the semester, but I thought I'd get a jump on things be rereading them now.
7. O Pioneers! by Willa Cather
Another requirement. More memorable than The Country of Pointed Firs but not really my cup of tea.
8. Spike: The Devil You Know by Bill Williams
God, I miss Buffy.
9. The Lion in Winter by James Goldman
Great play (and great movie).
10. Thomas Ince by Brian Taves
A biography of the early Hollywood producer.
11. How to Slay a Dragon by Bill Allen
A much better book than the similarly named How to Train Your Dragon.
12. The World in Your Lunch Box: The Wacky History and Weird Science of Everyday Foods by Claire Eamer
Reminscent of a 70s era kids cookbook, this is an entertaining little gem. And the illustrations remind me of Quentin Blake's illustrations for Roald Dahl's books.
13. Star Trek: Countdown by J. J. Abrams
14. Ghostbusters: Displaced Aggression by Scott Lobdell
I have no idea why I read these.
15. Stories of H. P. Lovecraft
I somehow convinced my lit teacher that we really needed to read Lovecraft. The Colour Out of Space is amazing.
16. The Courtyard by Alan Moore
Moore does Lovecraft.
17. The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner
A requirement that I kind of liked. It drove everyone else in class, including the teacher, nuts trying to keep up with what was going on, but I had no problem with it. Maybe all the Doctor Who I watch has given me a leg up with non-linear time?

I had an essay to write on it so I needed to refresh my memory. I was surprised to find that improved upon rereading.

45. Black Powder War by Naomi Novik
46. Dollhouse Volume 1: Epitaphs by Andrew Chambliss
If the tv show had been like the graphic novel, maybe it wouldn't have gotten canceled.
