Maximilian , Haydee, and Mercedes believe are the characters who make Edmond Dantes look into his soul and heal to a certain extent.

I agree, and I think mostly it was Maximilian, who became like a son to him. Also, I do think that Albert helped him to regain his humanity to some extent.
