I'm not a vegetarian yet, but I think I'm headed that way.
I was looking at the magazine "Vegetarian Times' in B&N the other day. What do you think of the recipes in that magazine?

I find them to be like recipes in other food magazines: some are great, others are so-so. Nevertheless, they are generally easy to prepare, and do not typically require difficult to acquire ingredients.

Thanks.
Do you think this magazine would be worthwhile for me to subscribe to? Not only for the recipes, but for the articles?

Defiantly. I’d use one of the cards from the magazine at B&N though, as I think you’ll get it cheaper than you will from their Web site.
In the past few years, the magazine has gotten a lot better. There seems to be a good balance of articles that cover the various reasons why people are vegetarian--in other words, they’re not all animal rights articles, or all health related articles, et cetera. My biggest complaint with the magazine is its advertising policies. While most of the ads are from good companies (in the sense of environmentally friendly and animal friendly), they also accept ads from companies that are a bit more, shall we say, morally flexible (at least in my opinion). However, it is printed on recycled paper, so I guess I’ll take what I can get.

Thanks, dodger.
Think I'll do it then. I don't usually pay much attention to ads in magazines anyway! I go for the content. :-)

I got the magazine for a while but found I preferred to just get recipes of the net. I can google anything I want and come up with a veggie version.

I love getting magazines and clipping recipes. I can quickly scan the recipes and only cut out what I want. I don't usually save magazines. I recycle them.
For finding recipes online, I prefer using allrecipes.com.
I did check out the vegetariantimes.com recipes, but I don't like the way they are organized on the website.
