This looked like a marvelous idea, especially since I've done much more reading on other areas. I think I want to do this as a double, reading a mystery and a non-fiction about or in each state. I've done a few already but I think I'll start this fresh, something new. Could take me a while but should be fun.

1. Alabama - M: Mimosas, Mischief and Murder, a pleasant mystery which takes place in Smarr, Alabama. A new series for me, but I enjoyed it enough to try another one of her books.

2. Alaska - M: A Cold Day for Murder by Dana Stabenow. I randomly picked a mystery set in Alaska and got very lucky. Thoroughly enjoyed this one.

3. Got off track there a while. Alabama non-fiction - Dreams of Africa in Alabama . The sad true story of the last slave ship to come to the U.S. (1858) and the lives of the passengers during and after slavery.

Alaska nonfiction - If you lived here, I'd know your name
