An Index of Local NPR Programs Available Via Live Stream

Inspired by discussion on a separate thread, I thought it would be great to create a resource listing local NPR programs that people might like to listen to online. Maybe let's start with music and culture (e.g., film and book talk) shows, since most NPR stations have a local news program.

Post the name of the show, a description, when it airs (note time zone), and a link to the website if possible.

(I have to get to work now, so I'll post later today.)

Fantastic local music programming can be heard on WVIA FM. This includes classical, jazz, concerts recorded in the WVIA studios (Simply Grand Concerts, and Homegrown Music) and eclectic (Mixed Bag).

Listen live. It's great stuff.

For a really eclectic mix all day long go to www.wncw.org and hit the link for their live broadcast. WNCW is a tiny station in western North Carolina located on the campus of Isothermal Community College, but they play the best music in the world. They go from jazz, to blue grass, to alternative and every stop in between. You never know what you're going to get, but it's all wonderful.
