Hi. I'm new to the group. Grew up in California but my daddy was born in Alabama and grew up in Georgia, so I love the South.
Has anyone read the new cozy mysteries by Susan Wittig Albert? I have read the first two, The Darling Dahlias and the Cucumber Tree and The Darling Dahlias and the Naked Ladies.
The Darling Dahlias is a garden club comprised of ladies who live in the little town of Darling, Alabama. The books take place during the Depression. I find them to be charming and fun reads. They're full of gardens, food (with recipes!) and housekeeping tips from the era.
I think she is working currently on the third book. I can't wait.
