This thread is for discussion relating to Don Quixote Part 2, Book 3.
It is 20 chapters long (chapters 33-52) and the goal is to read it in September and October.

I just finished this section and it's definitely been my favorite so far. I LOVED the interactions with the Duke and Duchess and all of the adventures that they create for Don Quixote and Sancho. In particular, I think one of the most memorable parts of the book for me will be Sancho's experience as governor of his insula. I thought it was great that he kept his kind of silly, not-so-smart demeanor but managed to make some truly wise decisions at the same time.
I'm planning to push through to the end since I'm on a roll and enjoying it. Looking forward to hearing everyone's comments whenever you get here!

I am in this part of the novel now, and I am afraid that I find the Duke and Duchess a bit tedious. I miss all of the love-strcuk couples form the first part of the novel! But I am looking forward to Sancho as governor.

I'm up to this bit finally and am enjoying Sancho as governor, though overall am not much a fan of the Duke & Duchess.

I really did not like the way that the Duke and Duchess they used DQ and Sancho as objects of amusement.

I finished the book this afternoon and getting caught up on the group read threads. Sancho as governor was quite surprising and interesting to read although I feel the duke and duchess had way too much time on their hands to concoct what they did. I found this section easier to push through rather quickly.
