Crisis in Francophone Maghrebi literature

Has anyone read La Montagne du Lion (translated in English as the Mountain Lion I believe?) by Mustafa Tlili? If so I'd love to hear your comments... Some people really like it, maybe I see too much of the author in his narrative, but I just see it as 'un recit moralisateur' and the topics (colonization, education, modernity, gender, etc) commencent a me saouler serieusement!
