Has anyone here read Gold Boy, Emerald Girl? I enjoyed these short stories, even though they were a bit bleak. The writing is so good. Yesterday I went to the book discussion at my library, and there were quite a few wonderful comments by other readers. Apparently Ms Li (who grew up in China, but went to university in Iowa), writes fiction only in English.
