Hi all. I thought it might be fun in tribute to Ray Bradbury who recently passed away, to start a Fahrenheit 451 list.
The idea is this: if there was a book you had to commit to memory to be able to recite on command, as part of the oral passing of the written word for ages to come, what would it be?
I've written my pick elsewhere -Catch 22.
What is your Fahrenheit 451 book?

I could do Jane Eyre and Dune. (Why is Frank Herbert so obsessed with the word simpatico?)

Probably something by Iris Murdoch, maybe The Sea, The Sea. If we're talking SF then I'd go for something by Lem - Eden maybe?
