Looks like both members scanned the barcode, and instead of getting Aliens Love Underpants, got a music CD by the Pussycat Dolls. Googling the isbn gives only the first title, so it seems to be bad Amazon data.

What specifically is the ISBN that's returning bad data from Amazon?

ISBN 1847383602

I separated it here: https://www.librarything.com/work/17779844

All right, bombs away. Amazon is hit-or-miss with this stuff. I submitted it via my seller account, which may be better or worse than submitting it as a customer. Experience suggests it will get higher priority for processing, but the initial processor that gets it is more likely to be clueless and require a full dental extraction to get things fixed. We'll see how it goes. If it does get fixed and you find out before I do, let me know.

Choice bit of the initial response: "Please note that due to high query volume the response from our retail team might get delayed therefore, I request you to please be patient while a resolution is underway."

The wheels are turning...

Mm-kay. After a few "we're working on it" replies, they're claiming it can't be fixed and, to make a long story short, they want me to list my copy of the CD (ha!) under a new ASIN to solve the problem -- for me only. I explained the actual scope of the problem and my true reason for writing as clearly and simply as I could. We'll see...
ETA: And yes, I did mention that Amazon has a minority equity stake in LT, so this is, in fact, their problem. :-p

Fixed, allegedly. Anyone want to confirm?

It must be the barcode itself. Not able to pull any product now using the isbn in Add Books, though googling it still brings up Monsters Love Underpants!

I left a profile message on the member's page weeks ago and she hasn't responded. Not going to worry about it any more.
