TV programme

I have just seen an advert for a book I reviewed on Book of the Month Club - The Secret of Crickley Hall. I am glad I read it first. It was enjoyable. I hate trying to read something I have already seen. I think they might make a good job of it as it was rather long . Let's wait and see.

Do you have something to say, or just want to promote yourself?

I just wanted to get more members for Book of the Month Club, but I guess I was rather clumsy. I also wondered if anyone else who had read the book would like to discuss the series after it had been shown. If I hadn't registered an interest no-one would know that, would they?
As for promoting myself- that was a rather obscure way of doing it-and 'Brits' is not the place, but your comment did get me looking at your profile.

I've seen the trailer and it reminded me a little of the British film, The Awakening but then I suppose a lot of traditional ghost stories share the same iconography.

Thanks for the humour.So sad if the TV version stops people reading the book. I think it might. Do films make people go looking for the books or are others like me and think once they know the story they don't want to read them? The choice of actor to play the hero is also interesting. But now I suppose I'll get accused of promoting the programme. Let's go back to the Olympics!
