OK, I am progressing faster on the 50 book thing than I ever dreamed. BUT: I never seem to like some of the books that everyone else seems to love. I just finished The curious incident of the dog in the night time, and I just wasn't impressed. I hated all the stupid math problems included and I felt sympathy for the the wrong person (not specifying who in case someone is reading the book now) and I didn't feel any real empathy for the protagonist - only for those who had to deal with him. I just thought it was a very forgetable book.

That book was not universally loved; I thought it was a bit weak and I've seen several people on LT give it a lukewarm response.
