National Coffee Day (USA) is on September 29.
I've missed the mark this year (I was out enjoying the coffee), but there will be others. If you don't live in the USA, do you have a designated Coffee Day? If you do live in the USA, were any local cafés celebrating?

My writing group meets every Saturday at the coffee shop in my town. They usually have four twenty-cup dispensers at the ready, and others standing by to be filled when another gets low. Today, the large coffee maker had a catastrophic failure. They could make espressos and lattes, but I was SOL for my $2 bottomless cup. I had an Americano; three, actually. Then I brewed a pot when I got home. I finished that one off and made another. I'm writing an opera.
MrsHouseLibrary thinks I need to check into that coffee rehab place -- you know the one ... Maxwell House.
