Orange and November go well together! If you're reading an Orange book this month, please share!

I am reading The Clothes on Their Backs by Linda Grant. About 80 pages in. Very good story so far!

I finished The Night Watch by Sarah Waters on Nov 1st. A 4.5 read for me.

Not Orange books but books by an Orange author - I recently read and really enjoyed Maggie Gee's My Cleaner and currently reading the sequel My Driver.

Maggie Gee's The White Family was shortlisted for the Orange Prize in 2002 and The Flood was longlisted in 2004.

I'm reading The Hundred Secret Senses by Amy Tan. And then I will read A Concise Chinese-English Dictionary for Lovers by Xiaolu Guo. Both Orange books, and also China-themed for the Reading Globally quarterly theme.

I've just finished Old Filth by Jane Gardam, and loved it. If anyone else is vaguely thinking about reading it, don't let the name put you off! It was shortlisted for the 2005 OP.

I read A Short History of Tractors in Ukranian. Light, laugh out loud read about illegal immigration. At first I thought some of the female characters were cartoonish, but I liked how the main character came to appreciate the reasons they became bullies.

I'm sorry I did not get here sooner, but I read The History of Love by Nicole Krauss in November. Very enjoyable read! It was a short listed Orange read - I'm not sure what year! :)
