I'm liiking for a book like [Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter]

I got my 13 year old grandson Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter for his birthday, and he loves it as much as I did even though his history teacher mistakenly thinks it's disrespectful of the great man. I'm looking for books to get him for Christmas - Hanukkah that he will like as much - no Jane Austin spinoffs, no strictly vampire novels like Twilight or Sookie Stackhouse, probably the less romance the better. Also probably no sports related books - I have overloaded him with baseball novels. He likes science and history and guitar playing, so I guess I'm looking for fun books about real people in quirky situations.
