Hi...I have not read any Mo Yan yet, but have acquired Republic of Wine and Garlic Ballads, so will definitely read them and likely more. Looking forward to this group read.

I've read Red Sorghum.

I own or will be purchasing the rest of his novels. My plans were to read them in order of publication, which would mean The Garlic Ballads is next.

I own Red Sorghum, The Garlic Ballads, Shifu, You'll Do Anything for a Laugh and The Republic of Wine. I have yet to read any of them and will probably wait for the first of the year.

I read Life and Death Are Wearing Me Out several years ago, recently read Red Sorghum, and have The Garlic Ballads on the TBR. I'll buy some more over the next several months.

My first introduction to Mo Yan was seeing Zhang Yimou's incredible Red Sorghum. This was in the days before online book ordering. Luckily I was in London at the time and so was able to find a copy of the book right away. It did not disappoint. Since then I have read Life and Death are Wearing Me Out, just last month. I have just ordered The Garlic Ballads for this read and hope to go through the remaining books in chronological order.

I have only read Change, which I really liked. I was planning to read Red Sorghum next, but it may depend a little bit on what's available from my library.

I haven't read any of his works yet, but I have Pow! and am planning to read it in January.
