Does anyone know the artist for the first user provided cover of A Medicine for Melancholy?

If I were to take a guess, I'd say that it looks similar to the Doctor Who book covers done by Chris Achellios.

Actually. Now that I see the images next to each over, I'm not so sure myself. I think it was more the layout and graphic design style that caught my eye.

I found the portrait here too:

And the same portrait is on my copy of Martian Chronicles

And a bit more here:

I believe this cover is by Dean Ellis.

This time around google found the page with the picture but still nothing solid about the portrait:

https://ledelano.com/2015/10/26/masterclass-monday-nobody-could-paint-with-words...

The covers look like someone just cut and pasted the portrait from somewhere else (maybe even conveniently forgetting the signature of the artist in the process). Or maybe Dean Ellis painted the portrait himself?

http://www.sf-encyclopedia.com/entry/ellis_dean confirms that >4 rgurskey: is right about Dean Ellis. Thanks!

Here's the Mars image, without the portrait.
