TIOLI (Take It or Leave It) Challenge #6:
Read and review an unread book you received through ER or MG
Here's the scenario: you won a book through Early Reviewers, but haven't read it after several months...or you were picked to receive a Member Giveaway book, and it's collecting dust on the shelves...
...in either case, take this challenge to read and review at least one of those books you were awarded!

My first book to read is Jersey Joe Walcott by James Curl from the Early Reviewers June 2012 batch. I have a casual interest in boxing, so if I can get motivated, I should enjoy this book.
What are you planning on reading as part of this challenge?

I'll read two books for this challenge:
Power Systems: Conversations on Global Democratic Uprisings and the New Challenges to U.S. Empire by Noam Chomsky (November 2012 LTER book)
How to Get Filthy Rich in Rising Asia by Mohsin Hamid (January 2013 LTER book - assuming that I receive it in February)

I have more Member Giveaway books that I should read and review, but have not chosen any yet.
Here is one I need to read: The Lives of Norman Mailer

Oh my, I have quite a number of books that would fit this challenge... And I was actually planning to get some of those read in February, so this is an excellent challenge.
First on the list is Vale of Stars... Already started it last month, so I should be able to finish that...

I have four unread ER books. They're evenly distributed through the years, too: one from 2009, one from 2010, one from 2011, and one from 2012. I'm hoping to clear out the backlog this year.

I, too, have about six or seven ER's to read and review. For this challenge I'm choosing the newest, as well as the shortest, The Eleven. I felt pretty bad when I saw Darryl's review go up so quickly, so I'd rather not let this one languish in the TBR's for too long. Good luck everybody.

I've started The Beach at Galle Road which was my December ER book; however, I'm alternating between it and another book. I should complete it in a day or two.

Well, I've finished two short reads; The 13th Cycle and A Wasting Time... Both amusing enough, though not great...
I've decided to just try to get as many books done for this challenge as possible, so I've also started two more. Many of the member giveaway books are really more like short stories or novellas, so it should be possible to get a good number of them finished before the end of the month...
One question: I also got one book through a giveaway on goodreads, would that also count for this challenge, or is it restricted to librarything giveaways?
Also, I've noticed how a bunch of you are going to get filthy rich... Good for you! I don't have that one, so I guess I'll just stay poor ;)

@Britt84, I'll leave that up to you. I intended it to be a challenge for LibraryThing, but reading a 'goodreads' giveaway would be okay...just don't neglect your ER/MG books from LT in order to do so. ;)

I've read A Wasting Time too and agree with #10 Britt84 that it wasn't great. Not bad but not great either.
I'm currently reading Once Upon a Curse, a collection of stores that are the retelling by fantasy writers of fairy tales. I'm enjoying it immensely.

Well, I've now finished (and reviewed) 8 books for this challenge... Still got one more on my list, which I've started already, and then I'd say I've done enough for one month :P Still got two more ER books that I won, but haven't received those yet, so those will have to wait...

This morning I finished my LTER book for January, How to Get Filthy Rich in Rising Asia by Mohsin Hamid, and I've reviewed it here.
