Sort Private Comments Field?

Too late I learned that, evidently, there isn't a way to sort my book list by the Private Comments field. I use that field to indicate the repository for my books, designating a specific room, bookcase, and/or shelf within a bookcase. This would be helpful, since I am trying to enter a total of a few thousand books into the LibraryThing.

Am I missing something here or does someone here see a better way, or at least a different way, for me to accomplish the same goal. I want to be able to produce lists of my books by repository.

You could use tags.

Thanks for the "tags" suggestion. That's certainly a possibility. I was trying to use the Private Comments field for the reason its name suggests - "Private." I was just thinking that a tag of something like "Box 329, Bonus Room" would look somewhat strange to a viewer who doesn't know the significance of it. In the scheme of things, however, I guess that wouldn't matter a whole lot. Tom.

My tag field is filled with box and location information. No one seems to mind.
