Allan B. Calhamer (December 7, 1931 - February 25, 2013) was an American mail carrier who invented the board game Diplomacy “Destroying Friendships since 1959.”

Yes, I noticed his passing. It's been a long time since I played Diplomacy face to face, but I've played it through the Internet now and then over the years.
