Welcome to LT and to the group. I've not heard of Cara Black. I'll be interested in what you think of the book.

Welcome! Hope you find a happy home here on LT and especially in the 75 Books Challenge for 2013 group.

Thank you for the welcome.
Cara Black is an American author who sets her mystery series in Paris. I've read the whole series and keep it on my list of series to follow and buy as each new entry becomes available. If you enjoy Sue Grafton, Sara Paretsky and Nevada Barr ( the early novels), I think you will like Cara Black.

Here's a great thread to 'star':

That's where I've learned most of what I know of LT.

I have one of Cara Black's novels at home in a TBR box. I'm sure I'll get to it eventually. Welcome to LibraryThing.

Hi Rayaowen!! Welcome to LT and the 75er group. You and I only share 54 books, but they are 54 good books.

Thanks for the welcome.
I'm adding books all the time so we may have more in common as our reading continues.
Last night I started The Baker Street Translationby Michael Robertson but it didn't catch my attention immediately so this morning I loaded up my Kindle with: The Dying Fall by Elly Griffiths, The Tooth Tattoo by Peter Lovesey and The Golden Egg by Donna Leon. Already on hand in paper, I have The Sound of Broken Glass by Deborah Crombie and on Kobo, I have Dog About Town by J F Englert. All this should keep me well stocked for a couple of weeks.

Woo! A third book in The Baker Street Letters series!
Thanks for the post, now I can request it from the library.
Have you read the first two books?

Yes, I have read the first 2 books and I enjoyed them. I'm sure I'll go back to reading The Baker Street Translation. I was just a bit put off by it's starting with a continuation of the protagonist's relationship issue rather than immediate focus on plot. I'll get over that.

I thought the second book, The Brothers of Baker Street, was better than the first, The Baker Street Letters.
I am looking forward to your review. :)
