This is an awesome little story for young and old alike. You sit and you read the list of things the boy packs to rescue the dragon and you think to yourself that it is the most bizarre combination, until you see each item used. Genius.
On page 11 I noted that this is very much a real story, talking about beatings and death, so parents who are fussy about that sort of thing for their kids (don't understand that) might want to avoid it.
On page 71 there's a description of the animals chasing the boy and the dragon and it says they laughed because it was such a strange sight. And it was. Even I was laughing at the description of what was happening.
I would love to read this to kids over and over.
