After a few recent disappointing experiences with EP I was about ready to write them off, but this DLE has renewed my faith in that publisher (at least for the time being).
This edition is beautiful, with soft leather covers that reminds me of the binding for the Midsummer Night's Dream DLE. The slipcase is sturdy and lined to protect the book, the color illustrations are top-notch and Albee's signature is on a tipped-in page (I think that's the right description) that appears to have been made especially for this edition since the certificate of authenticity is dated Jan. 14, 2013. None of that cut-and-paste bookplate stuff. My only qualm is a slight bump to the slipcase suffered during shipping. But even the shipping was first rate -- sent by overnight FedEx even though I hadn't paid for upgraded shipping. This signed DLE reminds me most of the Vonnegut limited edition in terms of quality, although I think this one is slightly nicer.
All in all, great work EP. I'm a happy customer again.

Nice to know the Virginia Woolf is a keeper. I did notice the leather for Midsummer Night's Dream had a very soft leather, very soft and sensitive to the touch. It puzzles me on the shipping boxes and occasional bumped corners from Easton, the corners tend to have extra space and cardboard to protect during transit.
I wonder if Easton will have a series with leather-on-leather similar to Franklin Library in the 1980s, it is the most desirable series and the most attractive bound volumes.

>3 kdweber: Larry Schwinger. I've not heard of him before, but thought his illustrations for this edition were great.

Schwinger has done a fair number of illustrations for EP before, including the frontispieces for:
The Good Earth
A Tree Grows in Brooklyn
Deliverance
The Silver Chalice
and all five volumes of "THEY WALK AMONG US"
(There may be others, but those are the ones I know of...)
