I did. It's not my favorite, by far. In some sense, it's a paean to Obama and the political climate of 4-5 years ago.

Hey, Jesse. I think you may be thinking of These Dreams of You, and I agree. Zeroville is his paean to Travis Bickle. Sort of.

Zeroville's the one with the hilarious break-in dialogue and the "autistic" protagonist that runs around with an obsessive knowledge of films and runs tangentially to a bunch of the Laurel Canyon late '60's/early '70's stuff?

I haven't gotten around to Zeroville. If it's a paean to Travis Bickle, even sort of, then what the hell have I been waiting for? Even if Vanishing Point wasn't mentioned in the book (maybe it was & it's just not listed?), it deserves a spot with those movies.
