I recently ran across a mention of the upcoming release (November 15, 2013) of Target: Rabaul: The Allied Siege of Japan's Most Infamous Stronghold March 1943 - August 1945 by Bruce Gamble.

This is the concluding third volume of Bruce Gamble's history on Rabaul.
Bruce Gamble's first two volumes in this series were excellent reads.

Boy, I have to get cracking! I have the first volume which I've yet to read. It's actually called Darkest Hour: The True Story of Lark Force at Rabaul. I see they have retitled it Invasion Rabaul.
