This is a list of all the books written by authors active in the Hobnob With Authors group in 2014.
There is also a list of books by authors who were previously active on Hobnob With Authors, and a list using LT's list feature, which you should feel free to check out and play with: anyone can add books to that list.
If people want to be added to this list, please reply to this message with a list of your books, and in what genres and formats (paperback, epub, etc). If you were on the previous list and no updates are needed, just post telling me so and I'll copy your previous entries over from the old list.
Thanks.

Thanks, debvanasse. Could you let me know what formats they are available in, paperback, hardcover, epub, kindle/mobi... that kind of thing?
Also, Cold Spell, No Returns, and Amazing Alaska don't appear on your author page.
(Which you can link directly to, btw, by putting two sets of square brackets around your name... this creates an "author touchstone". Book touchstones are created by putting one set of square brackets around the book name.)
There are also a few books on your author page which you didn't list here.
If you add copies of the books that are missing (for Cold Spell I assume that will take a while?) to your own library that gets them into the system so that they will show up on your author page, and I will be able to create links to them. If you would be willing to do that, let me know when it's done, so I can add the links, okay?
If the other books that are on your author page are by you, is there a reason you don't want them listed as well? If they aren't by you, then clearly that page needs some work done to it, so please let me know.

Hi LShelby. Sorry it's taken me a while, but here's the book I have listed on LibraryThing: The Cleansing. It's apocalyptic science fiction.
10dovelynnwriter
I was on the previous list for two freebie shorts, but not for Feather by Feather and Other Stories. It also collects the shorts, so I'm not sure if you wanted to include those as well.
FbF is ebook-only (all formats) at present. It's got a little bit of everything genre-wise, but it leans heavily enough to fantasy that I'd put it there over "other specfic". (There're probably too many stories that aren't YA/Children's for it to fit there as well, though.)
Thank you for tackling the list again this year!

I'm still here, and still with the same publication. (Dammit, as last years was supposed to get #2 finished ...)

My debut novel, Quest for the Holy Lance, will be released 1 January 2015 (in all major formats) by Knox Robinson Publishing. It is a work of historical fiction.
13LShelby
Finally getting to these, sorry for the delay.
SamKate, I added it, but you didn't tell me what formats its available in.
lynnoconnacht, if the two freebies are included in Feather by Feather, I think what I want to do is just list the collection, but them add the two freebie stories to my List of Free Stories by Hobnob Authors... which I tried to start up a while back, and got no responses for (I apparently picked a bad time). Sound good?
Joannasephine, I'm glad you're still around, and boy do I sympathize with the supposed to be finished last year thingy, I've got one of those too. When you do get it out, be sure to let me know so I can add it. :)
aalatham, I added your debut novel to the historical fiction section, but what about your other titles? Do they not count as books? If not, what I usually do is a to combine them into single listing that says -x many articles about medieval history- or whatever.

Genesis: Book One of The Kingdom Come Series, published by Black Bed Sheet Books; available in all formats and paper almost anywhere great books are sold and it's both Fantasy and Science Fiction. :)
15LShelby
I got your book added, Wade, but I noticed that you haven't claimed your author page. Also, did you write a book about tuning band saws? Because if not, you might want to wait on the page claiming, until the Wade Garret page has been properly separated, so you're only claiming to be you and not the other guy also.
16Spaceface
Although my book The Everything is officially listed under Modern And Contemporary Fiction, I'd file it under Speculative Fiction myself (or even Justplainweird Fiction!). Other details: my author (i.e. real) name is Richard C Cox, the publishers are Troubador Publishing and it's on sale in both hardback and paperback.

Hi,
They are books -- Theorizing Medieval Geopolitics is a single-authored scholarly book; the other two are edited conference proceedings.

>18 aalatham: So, um... is there a reason why you didn't want them added to the list then?
(I don't put books on it unless the authors say so, but it seems a pity to just ignore these when my poor non-fiction section is currently completely empty.) :(

For YA, children (with some definitions of words needed from older readers here and there) and older readers is the novella with historical aspects based on many actual locales, and in the form of a parody of the adventures of Captain Alberto Dicer of the pirate ship El Dreadful during the reign of King Phillip II of Spain when galleons were delivering treasure from the gold mines in the Americas. http://www.librarything.com/work/14507607/book/104088695

THE SPOON FROM MINKOWITZ: A Bittersweet Roots Journey to Ancestral Lands is a NON-FICTION book. It's for anyone interested in emotional genealogy--not the names and dates on a family tree, but the family stories and the behavioral traits that have been passed down from generation to generation. If you don't transform it, you'll transmit it.

I couldn't get the touchstone (link) to work on Sabrina's Vampire. I don't know if it's because it's too new to have made its way into search (there is usually a delay of a couple days) or if the search is choking over the way the title is put together or what. (Sometimes I never do figure these things out.)
I'm about to go look up the work number so I can use the special "touchstone forcing" technique on it, so hopefully it will be fixed by the time you see this message. :)
But I can't do the links on the rest of your books until someone lists them on LT. If you add those book yourself, let me know, so I can fix their entry on my list. Okay?

... it's kind of strange, when I went to your author page, there was no author name on it. Fortunately hitting the recalculate name button made it pop right back up, so no harm done. But I've never seen that one before. I wonder what caused it?

Err, I see you are an Author actually. :) Sorry! Or are you both?

>43 Lilo_Abernathy:
On LibraryThing there are no librarians.
Or, perhaps more accurately, EVERYONE is a librarian.
So you're a librarian too. Congratulations, and welcome to the club. :)
To be a little more specific, there are three kinds of information on LT.
1) Personal data. This includes what is on your profile, and... this is the part that people find most funky... the information you enter in your catalog. That's YOUR data. Nobody else can mess with it. So if you want to claim that Mark Twain wrote your copy of Pride and Prejudice, nobody will stop you, (although they may hate you forever.)
On the other hand, if you didn't actually mean to do that, well, you're going to have to fix it yourself. Because nobody else can fix it for you. It's your data.
***Nothing on your author page is your personal data.***
2) There is data that is pulled from other sources. Some of that data will come from compiling all the personal data on the site. Some is grabbed of of amazon and so forth. Nobody has direct control over this data.
The author name on your author page is usually this type of data. LibraryThing takes the most commonly used variant of your name on all the copies of your works as found in people's personal data, and shows it. The books that appear on the page are also this kind of data.
3) "Common Knowledge" (called CK) and other group data. This is data that ANYONE on LT can edit. Author birth and death dates, work relationships and "other authors" data, awards, etc, etc, etc.
So Your birth, death, place of origin and so forth is all open for anyone on LT to edit at any time.
It's always a good idea to go and fill in your own CK. Presumably you are in the best possible position to make sure that information is accurate and complete.
It's also usually a good idea to try and make sure the type 2 data is kept under control. Combining various "editions" into their appropriate "works" so that they all show up as a single entry. Combining variant spellings and pen names of authors into a single author, so that each author has only one page, and all the copies of the works that they have written show up properly. This is the tricky stuff to do, though. Feel free to ask for help. LTers are usually glad to either do it for you, or teach you how.
And, as an author, it's also a really good idea to make sure that the personal data you have for your books is correct and complete, so that at least one copy of each work you have authored is present on LibraryThing and has accurate data associated with it.
I hope this little explanation is helpful. Welcome to LT!

Thanks for asking. Most are no longer available from the publisher Wings. My agent wanted to see if she could get them to a bigger publisher and she was able to place Try and Catch the Wind with Harlequin. It comes out in July.

So you don't want them listed, because they are out of print? Seems reasonable. I will respect your wishes on that. :)

I added your books, but you forgot to tell me what formats they are available in.

Have you clicked on the "Is this you?" link at the top right of your author page yet?

Please add my historical novel "Crossing the River." It was on the previous list. Thanks. No change in formats.

I'm Olga Godim. I have one fantasy novel, Almost Adept, one collection of short urban fantasy stories Squirrel of Magic and one mainstream novel Lost and Found in Russia. Could you please add me to the list? Thank you.

Wow, this thread got buried pretty deep. I assume none of the new people even know it exists. Maybe now that I've resurrected it (I just published another book and wanted to add it), we will get more entries.

Thanks for doing this LShelby! In addition to my novel and non-fiction, I've got two short story collections available:
Time Again and Other Fantastic Stories --fantasy available in print and all ebook formats
Slow Death and Other Dark Tales--other speculative? (dark fiction/some horror elements), available in print, audio, and all ebook formats
I should have a another novel out in a month or two--the reason I haven't been hanging out here as much as formerly. I do check in regularly, but don't post as often.

Hi MarysGirl, nice to see you're still around.
However, this thread is an out of date version of the list. I will make sure your older books are transferred over to this year's list, and add your new ones. Okay? :)
You can find the new thread by following the link in our new group description.
And congrats on the short story collections and the new novel!
