It definitely was. I didn't study history beyond the age of 15 so it's nice to have a nuanced view of the Rising. I need to track down his other work.

That's January done with and 16 books read. At this rate, I'll be finished everything I have to read by my third lifetime ;-)

Just stumbled upon your list which includes several books which I have enjoyed in the past, including one of my all time favorites (Walden), so I guess I'll have to randomly check in to see if you're reading books that I ought to be reading! Definitely a fan of Kurt Vonnegut, but I only read 2 B R 0 2 B because it was free on kindle... Also super impressed with the fact that you've already got 16 books read!

It might be a bit of a cheat since most of them were quite short. It really helps having an hour and a half commute though.

Love Vonnegut - he's so cynical but funny at the same time

Finally finished Ulysses. I think I enjoyed it, but it's such a dense book that I don't think I'll ever grasp it entirely.

After finishing up March with Hamlet we're a third of the way through the year and over half way. Just as well, a new job means my commute has gone from three hours a day to twenty minutes. Where will I read without distractions now?
