I'm enjoying some regional history at present with Over-the-Rhine by Michael Morgan.

It's a fascinating examination of culture, politics, economics of beer. German beer. Hmmm. Checking the fridge...

Well, southern Ohio is near Kentucky, and many German immigrants settled in southern Ohio; is that the connection?

Oh, sorry. The book is about the beer industry in Cincinatti, OH. Over-the-Rhine is the old German district. I counted on the book page to inform, but I see that it does not.
