I am an avid reader, and now that I have finished college, I think I actually might have time to read for once. My goal is to have at least 50 books read by next June. Here goes nothing!
What I've read since May of this year:
1. To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee
2. Beloved by Toni Morrison
3. It's Not About Me by Max Lucado
4. Come Thirsty by Max Lucado
5. The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants by Ann Brashares
6. The Incredible Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo
7. The Bad Beginning by Lemony Snicket
8. Changing Faces by Kimberla Roby
9. The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
10. The Mermaid Chair by Sue Monk Kidd
11. Kira Kira by Cynthia Kadohata
12. An ordinary man : an autobiography by Paul Rusesabagina
13. A Grief Observed by C.S. Lewis
14. Call It Sleep by Henry Roth
15. Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain

16. Inkspell by Cornelia Funke
I was SOOOOO excited to finally read the sequel to one of my favorite books. I wasn't happy with the ending to this one, though

19. Anna Karenina by Leo Tolstoy
20. Pursuit of Happyness by Chris Gardner
21. Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson
If you haven't yet read The Pursuit of Happyness, you need to! I loved every minute of it. Much better than alot of "rags to riches" tales out there.....

23. Wizards, Wardrobes and Wookiees: Navigating Good and Evil in Harry Potter, Narnia and Star Wars by Connie W. Neal
Almost half there, and only five months in. I think I'm going to make it! :)

24. The Secret Garden by Frances Hodgson Burnett
25. A Mind for God by James Emery White
OK so I'm slowing down a bit.... not good! :)
Oh, and by the way, I would definitely NOT reccommend The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen. Very very weird! I gave it a good shot, but just couldn't get into it!

32. Criss Cross by Lynne Rae Perkins
33. Three Dog Life by Abigail Thomas
34. Al Capone Does My Shirts by Gennifer Choldenko
35. He Chose the Nails by Max Lucado
I guess I need to lower my goal a bit, as I don't think I'm going to be able to read 5 books a month for the next 3 months. So I'll hope for 40 by July 1.

36. The Corrections by Jonathan Franzen
I know I said earlier that this book was too weird for me to finish, so I got it on audiobook (because I'm one of those people who HAS to finish a book if I start it). This book was weird, but the ending was good.
37. Dance of Sisters by Tracey Porter
38. Past perfect, present tense by Richard Peck
I haven't read a collection of short stories in a while, and it was refreshing to read something different.

39. The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini
40. The Voice by Bill Myers
So this completes my challenge, as June will soon be upon us. I didn't quite make 50 books, but I did make my adjusted goal of 40 books.... Barely!
Let a new year of reading begin!
