The University of Michigan holds the largest collection of ancient documents in North America. Many of the papyri in their collection have been digitized and are available for viewing on-line. They also offer a number of other papyri related on-line exhibits.

From Trace to Text: Highlights from the University of Michigan Papyrus Collection
- a behind-the-scenes look at the work of papyrologists: how they conserve scraps of often badly damaged papyri, decipher traces of ink, read and translate the resulting text, edit and interpret its contents, and make this available to both scholars and the general public.
